Cascadia 18 Price

Design
Upper – The Brooks Cascadia 18 upper is made of a lightweight and breathable material with a mesh structure that allows air to circulate and keep the feet cool while providing durability and flexibility. In addition, synthetic overlays add structure and support, and a roomier toe box accommodates wider feet and allows the toes to splay naturally.
Like the Cascadia 17, the 18 has a padded tongue and collar that cushion the ankle and prevent chafing, a lace garage that keeps the laces secure and out of the way, and a heel counter that locks the heel in place and prevents slippage.
Midsole – The midsole of the Brooks Cascadia 18 has two main components: DNA Loft and Trail Adapt.
DNA Loft is adaptive and Brooks’ softest cushioning system, providing a smooth and comfortable ride that adjusts to the runner’s weight, speed, and stride.
We expect to see an upgrade from the V2 in the Cascadia 17 to Brooks’ latest DNA Loft V3 in the Cascadia 18. DNA Loft V3 builds on the construction of EVA foam, rubber, and air by adding nitrogen to the mix, allowing an even softer ride while drastically reducing the weight.
Trail Adapt is a system that integrates the midsole, outsole, and rock plate to allow the shoe to adapt to the terrain and provide optimal stability and protection. The Trail Adapt system also has a segmented crash pad that disperses the shock of landing and promotes a natural transition from heel to toe.
Outsole – The Cascadia 18 will feature the same Green TrailTack rubber introduced in the Cascadia 17. Green TrailTack rubber is a more flexible and eco-friendly material made from leftover silica material and is part of Brooks’ long-term commitment to reducing waste and creating more sustainable production.
The outsole also has a new lug pattern that provides a better grip on wet and dry surfaces and a rock plate that protects the foot from sharp rocks and debris.
What is the Brooks Cascadia good for?
The Brooks Cascadia 18 is a trail running shoe that can perform well on various terrains, distances, and weather conditions and is suitable for runners who are looking for a versatile, comfortable, and sustainable trail running shoe.
Good for runners who:

- Have Medium or wide feet, as it has a roomy toe box and a flexible upper.
- Want a Balanced experience between cushioning and responsiveness

Will perform well on:
- Terrains: Such as dirt, gravel, grass, mud, sand, snow, and rocks.
- Distances: From short runs to long runs and even ultramarathon.
- Weather: From hot to cold and from dry to wet.
When did the Brooks Cascadia 17 come out?
